SurModics has a broad array of technologies, centered on enabling the performance and enhancing the functionality of medical devices, drugs, and diagnostics. Our core technology offerings are divided into two segments: Drug Delivery technologies (coatings, microparticles, and implants) and Surface Modification coating technologies that impart lubricity, prohealing, and biocompatibility capabilities.
SurModics’ technologies are utilized by our customers to either alter the characteristics of the surfaces of devices and biological materials, or to enable drug delivery of a range of small-to-large molecules. Our key clinical market areas include cardiovascular, ophthalmology, pharmaceuticals, in vitro diagnostics, and additional growing clinical markets.
